Cardiovascular Imaging
Offering unprecedented non-invasive diagnostic capabilities, the HVI has acquired some of the most advanced cardiac diagnostic and imaging technology available.
Technologies include:
-
The Siemens SOMATOM® Sensation Cardiac 64, the world’s first and fastest 64-slice computed tomography (CT) system that provides unprecedented image quality of the smallest intracranial, pulmonary, mesenteric and peripheral vessels in less than 10 seconds. Saint Joseph’s is the first hospital in Atlanta to have acquired the advanced technology with specific cardiac applications capable of virtually freezing the heart’s motion for unprecedented image quality.
The Institute’s advanced cardiovascular imaging staff regularly performs a gamut of studies, from congenital testing to cardiac profusion to pre- and post-operative imaging to chest pain diagnosis.
