Community Relations
Intrinsic to the Mission of Mercy is community involvement, and Saint Joseph’s serves the community by supporting programs that improve the health of our community. By initiating outreach programs that address health concerns of the metro Atlanta area, Saint Joseph's carries its healing mission beyond the bedside and into the community.
Operating through broad coverage of local and regional government relations, employee volunteerism, and corporate social responsibility, the community relations program builds partnerships to:
- offer screenings and health education for the community.
- facilitate research to improve patient care.
- provide charity health services.
Worksite wellness programs
According to the Wellness Councils of America, more than 81 percent of U.S. companies with 50 or more employees have some form of corporate wellness program which offer inexpensive ways to cut or control huge annual increases in health insurance premiums.
